Off-Limit Foods Dogs & Cats *Chocolate - contains a substance that is toxic to animals. Signs of overdose include: depression, vomiting, diarrhea, accelerated heart rate, panting or increased breathing rate. Cats *Cow's Milk - surprisingly, most cats are lactose intolerant -- lacking the enzyme needed to digest milk sugars. Drinking milk can cause digestive problems, even diarrhea.
