It has always been our policy not to sell cats or dogs, but to donate
space to non-profit local pet agencies so that good people and good
pets can get together. With this in mind, we have "pawtnered"
with (forgive the pun) The Kentucky Humane Society, The Floyd County
Animal Rescue League, Greyhound Pets of America, and the Shamrock
Society.
Feeders Supply provides these agencies
with space for adoption centers in our stores and helps to spread
the word on pet adoption through more promotions and support of
various fundraising activities. These agencies, in turn, provide
experienced adoption counselors who staff the adoption centers set
up in our stores.
The counselors bring to our stores only
those animals that have passed an evaluation based on health, known
history, and temperament. All animals eligible for adoption have
been spayed or neutered, tested for heartworms, vaccinated for rabies
and the 5-in-1, and bathed for flea control.

Dixie, Fern Creek, Hikes Point, Preston, Springhurst, St. Matthews, and Clarksville during regular store hours
Shamrock Foundation Cat Adoptions
Daily at Baxter and Middletown during regular store hours.
Shamrock volunteers are at Baxter with additional adoptable cats every Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm and at Middletown from 2 pm to 4 pm
Shamrock Foundation Dog Adoptions
7 pm to 8:30 pm at Middletown every Friday
